A principios de diciembre tuvo lugar en Sevilla el Mangafest. Un evento anual donde se reúnen profesionales y aficionados a todo lo que gira en torno a la cultura manga y anime. Allí se dan cita multitud de disciplinas artísticas, entre las que la música no podría faltar. Un ambiente que ofrece muchas posibilidades donde tiene especial relevancia el arte del cosplay, pudiendo encontrar personajes relacionados tanto con el cine como con los videojuegos o con el comic… incluso con el metal.
El domingo 8, la organización de Mangafest nos dio ocasión de dar un concierto en el recinto. Allí se pudieron reunir seguidores habituales de KAELIS y aficionados al metal, que abundan también en este entorno, lo que lo convierte en un buen lugar para un evento de este tipo.
En un escenario más colorido de lo que es habitual y entre actuaciones que ofrecían propuestas muy diferentes, llevamos a cabo nuestro show presentando un repertorio basado en temas ya conocidos de la banda y algunos que formarán parte del próximo Lp, así como el último single, OMEN, el cual nos está dando muchas satisfacciones. Aunque nos encontramos en muy espacio poco favorable por sus condiciones acústicas, el personal a cargo del sonido logró unos resultados más que dignos que favorecieron sin duda el curso de nuestra actuación.
Fue un concierto especial porque supuso el estreno en directo de nuestro nuevo guitarrista, Pablo Morán, quien dio muestras de su habilidad con su instrumento y su compromiso con el proyecto.
Seguimos adelante, preparando la gira que comenzará en unas semanas mientras ultimamos la grabación de nuestro próximo LP.

In the first days of December, Mangafest took place in Seville. An annual event where professionals and fans of all things manga and anime culture related meet. A multitude of artistic disciplines gather there, and music could be not one of them. An environment that offers many possibilities where the art of cosplay is especially relevant, and you can find characters related to both movies and video games or comics... even metal.
On Sunday 8th, the Mangafest organization gave us the opportunity to do a concert at the venue. Regular KAELIS fans and metal fans, who are also abundant in this environment, could gather there, making it a good place for an event of this kind.
In a more colorful setting than usual and between performances that offered very different proposals, we carried out our show presenting a repertoire based on already known songs of the band and some that will be part of the next LP, as well as the latest single, OMEN, which is giving us much joy. Although we were in a very unfavorable space due to its acoustic conditions, the sound engineers achieved more than worthy results that undoubtedly favored the course of our performance.
It was a special concert because it marked the live debut of our new guitarist, Pablo Morán, who showed his skill with his instrument and his commitment to the project.
We move forward, preparing the tour that will begin in a few weeks while we finalize the recording of our next LP.
